Want to know more about Wet Erase Markers

Water-based, wet-erase markers offer many benefits

Wet-erase markers differ from dry-erase markers in several ways. While they both work on nonporous surfaces like whiteboards, wet-erase models have a water-based formula, while dry-erase choices have an alcohol-based formula. Water-based options create minimal odor when compared to dry-erase products. They also keep their color and intensity in heat, while dry-erase versions bubble and fade under high temperatures. Because of this, water-based flip chart markers are ideal for projectors and illuminated boards. Although Vis-a-Vis® markers wipe away cleanly with water, note that you can't remove it with dry erasers or cloths. However, these pens are ideal for displays and promotional materials, since the writing will not wipe away with accidental contact.

Choose Vis-a-Vis markers in a variety of colors

Another key benefit of these writing tools is their wide spectrum of colors. Brands produce options in an array of bright, bold, and attention-grabbing shades, making it easy to craft appealing presentations and displays.

  • Rainbow sets with six or more different colors
  • Fluorescent and neon sets
  • Standard blue, black, and red collections
  • Jewel-tone markers

Neon sets are suitable for blackboards and black dry-erase boards since they offer the same intense hues on dark surfaces as they do on white surfaces.

Expo® wet-erase markers with various tip sizes

The right tip size and shape of Expo wet-erase markers depends on the type of project you're working on. Bullet tips come to a round, slightly pointed end, creating thick, broad lines. Chisel tips feature an angle, and these markers serve dual purposes: writing with the flat side leads to wide, bold lines and using the fine tip side yields thin lines. Within these tip options, there are also different sizes to consider. Fine-tip writing tools are the ideal choice for detailed designs and small writing, while wide-tip markers work well for large displays that must be visible and legible from afar.
