HP Ink Jet Printers Cartridges for OfficeJet 6962
OfficeJet Pro 8715 and its pigment-based ink
Most HP printer cartridges for black and color printers, whether two- or four-cartridge systems, contain pigment-based black ink and dye-based color inks. The OfficeJet Pro 8715 ink is pigment-based, meaning that the ink consists of suspended pigment powder particles in water. The particles don’t dissolve, so they transfer onto paper as particles, keeping their color accuracy, drying quickly, and maintaining their tonality. HP 952 ink cartridges produce bold, crisp monochrome text in a resolution of 1200 dots per inch (dpi), and rich, faithful photo and graphics images in color at up to 1200 x 4800 dpi. They work with the OfficeJet’s thermal inkjet system to support fast print speeds of 35 pages a minute (ppm) in draft black and 22 ppm in normal-mode black, with color speeds of 35 ppm in draft and 18 ppm in normal resolution modes. The cartridges can handle a duty cycle of 30,000 pages a month.
The printer compatibility of HP 952 cartridges
Most ink and toner cartridges fit other printers offered in specific lines by manufacturers. Many printers in HP’s OfficeJet Pro 8000 series rely on the pigment-based HP 952 black ink cartridges and color ink cartridges for their high-quality output. Select compatible printers in the OfficeJet Pro 8700 series also offer replaceable printheads to maintain cartridge performance for a long time. The cartridges print on bright-white, inkjet, and all types of office and copy printer paper, but are known for their output on premium and advanced matte and glossy photo paper.
The cartridges offer large-volume output
HP 952 black and HP 952 color ink cartridges offer high standard page yields per cartridge, and in high-capacity, XL, versions, the output nearly doubles. The per-cartridge page volumes of the HP 952 cartridges are:
- HP 952 black offers up to 1,000 pages
- HP 952 cyan, magenta, and yellow cartridges offer up to 700 pages
- HP 952XL black yields up to 2,000 pages
- HP 952XL CMY cartridges yield up to 1,600 pages
