What Are Command Adhesive Hooks?
Command hooks come with an adhesive that allows them to be stuck onto walls in any home, office or apartment space to create a hook that can hold a multitude of items or hang photos and artwork. The adhesive on the hooks is designed to be easy to remove when you’re done with the hook or want to relocate it so you don’t damage your wall. They are also great for keeping sticky residue off of your doors, cabinets, closets or furniture.
What Kinds of Command Hooks Can You Buy?
Because command hooks can be used in a variety of ways and settings, there are a variety of types to choose from. Some of those possibilities include:
Wire Hook Command Strips
These command adhesive hooks come with a strong wire hook that holds well on any indoor surface, including painted walls, wooden walls, glass windows or doors, tile, metal fixings and other smooth surfaces. Wire hook command strips are able to hold small accessories wherever you’d like them to hang without needing to use nails or a hammer on the surface you’ve selected.
Large Utility Hooks
Large command stick hooks are designed to hold heavier objects, such as paintings, tote bags or decor around the home or office space. These large command adhesive hooks can hold larger objects but should be kept under a five-pound limit. Make sure to place the adhesive firmly against the flat surface to guarantee the large utility hook will hold the weight.
Mini Hooks
The mini hooks are some of the smallest command self-adhesive hooks available. They can hold objects up to half a pound, such as calendars, keys or any other lightweight object. These wall hooks leave no sticky adhesive behind and are perfect to use inside cabinets or closets, in a college dorm, apartment, home or office space.
Broom and Mop Gripper
The broom and mop command stick hooks are the only command hooks designed to hold a specific object. Depending on the size of these hooks, they can hold brooms or wet mops up to four pounds. Simply stick the handle of the broom or mop between the grips on the command hooks to hold the item in place. The broom and mop should be leaning against the wall, not held up in the air, or the command strip may not last as long as intended.
