A mechanical interlock prevents the extension of more than one drawer at a time, while a counterweight inhibits tipping. Two adjustable handrails in each drawer accommodate side-to-side filing for both letter- and legal-size files, and a one-key removal lock ensures that documents are filed away safely and securely.
