Step 1
In one bowl, combine school glue and 4 ounces of water. Mix well.
Step 2
Mix in coloring (if desired).
Step 3
In a separate bowl, combine borax and 4 ounces of water. Mix until borax is dissolved.
Step 4
Next, add borax/Water solution into glue/Water solution and stir together slowly. Slime will start to form immediately.
Step 5
Mix until slime forms completely. Add mix-ins (if desired). See Hints & Tips below for ideas.
Step 6
Remove slime from the mixing bowl and have fun playing!
Hints & Tips
Customize your slime! Celebrate any occasion by mixing in seasonal items. Here are just a few ideas:
- Acrylic paint
- Wiggle eyes
- Glitter
- Hearts
- Snowflakes
- Stars
- Sequins and Confetti
- Dinosaurs
- Rubber ducks
- Sport balls
- Robots
- Frogs
Don't worry about water left in the bowl — it can be poured out. Amount of water in the recipe can be adjusted to get your desired slime consistency.
When you're done playing with the slime, store it in a plastic bag and place in the refrigerator.
Slime can be messy to make. Be sure to use table coverings and have your students wear smocks.
