Custom Stamps

Read more +

Custom stamps are a convenient way to imprint recurring contact information or messages on envelopes, documents, correspondence, and reference material, rather than having to handwrite the information. Choose stamp faces or mounts molded with lettering or imagery, products that you roll on ink pads, or self-inking stamps.

Types of custom stamps

Traditional stamps, such as customized address stamp products, feature rubberized mounts that users dab onto ink pads and press against documents to imprint lettering or images. Other custom stamps are self-inking and pre-inked models. Both are cartridges that contain ink pads inside the mounts. Self-inking stamps have springs between the cartridges and mounts. Users compress the cartridges to push the pad ink through the mounts onto documents. Pre-inked stamps have dies that rest between the ink pads and mounts. The ink flows through the die for the imprints.

Information on the mount molds

Stamps contain information that appears frequently on envelopes. Common items include return addresses and corporate logos. Many self-inking stamps contain date information on rolling mounts that let users adjust the current or future time and date printed on documents. Other products contain stock messages, like "Confidential." Some imprint lines for notarized signatures or bank account endorsements.

Why an address stamp is necessary

Nothing is easier than using an address stamp to imprint a return address when someone has to prepare bulk envelopes. For envelopes that already have single or double windows for pre-printed addresses, you can still use custom stamps if you need to leave stock messages on the envelopes, such as "Attention" or "Return Receipt Requested."

Use custom stamps with alternative labeling

One option for multiple mailings is to use mailing address labels that you can format for template laser printing, then use custom stamps to imprint logos to accompany the printed labels. Other stamps are appropriate with these blank labels as well. For instance, self-inking stamps with rolling dates are always a good back-up verification of package preparation or mailing times.

Colors of ink for custom stamps

Color ink for pre-inked, self-inking, and rubber stamps is available in both pads and refills for the pads. Several colors are available including red, blue, black, green, and purple. All pads contain enough ink to imprint between 50,000 and 100,000 impressions on such products as the Quill brand of high-quality address-return and shipping labels.
